Royal Huisman Yard Reveals Luxury Sailing Cat

 

The Royal Huisman has revealed a Superyacht catamaran design concept that resembles a floating resort. It would be 116 feet in length and offers more possibilities in this luxury Superyacht segment. That is the vision that has driven the design of this yacht by Jan Timmerman, the CEO. The Dutch yard is about 135 years old. It has recently introduced two concepts, that of a powered super cat and a sailing vessel of aluminum built.

The CEO is confident that possibilities would expand now, especially since there are select few multihull designs in the world of Superyachts. Timmerman states that he is optimistic about the multihull market out there. Indeed, the entry-level multihulls have risen in the region over two decades. The new designs of their yard would have worldwide appeal. They have two designs, a power version of a 119 ft vessel and that of a sailing yacht of 116 ft that are of designs made entirely by their designer, Berret Racoupeau.

The Superyacht catamaran could appeal to a private owner as well as work as a charter vessel. There are several seven-star cruise operators who would love to take up such a vessel. It would help guests to explore destinations that are exotic and are further afield. That is what such vessels can provide, unlike the large cruise ships. The aesthetic appeal of Racoupeau’s designs remains the main aspect that sets these vessels apart. The sailing catamaran, for instance, has a reverse sheer line that is distinctive. There is also focus on providing an outdoor/indoor experience as evident from the open layout of the vessels. There is a beach club, wide decks on the side, side windows on hinges, and other design aspects. As per the yard experts, this vessel design would appeal to family and corporate entertaining requirements greatly.
